What We Believe
We believe that the bible is the inspired word of God, given to us so we can know Him, His will for us, and our identity in Christ. We believe that the blood of Jesus represents the final sacrifice for sin Hebrews 9:12 and positions believers for salvation by God’s grace through faith Ephesians 2:8, 9.
We believe that Holy Spirit indwells every believer and desires to lead and guide us into the truth of who Jesus is and the truth of God’s grace towards us. John 16:13
We also believe according to 1 Corinthians 1:30 that it is Jesus that makes us righteous and acceptable to God; and the work He did on the cross was as our substitute and is God’s final solution to sin for those who believe that Jesus is the lamb slain to take away the sins of the world. John 1:29
We believe that communion worship is a celebration of the success of Jesus on the cross and should be received in remembrance of God’s grace and Jesus’ sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. We do this in remembrance of our righteousness in Christ and praise and worship God for His Love. John 3:16
12 With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. Hebrews 9:12 New Living Translation
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)
13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. John 16:13 Amplified Bible
30 But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin], 1 Corinthians 1:30 Amplified Bible
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God [a]who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 Amplified Bible
16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; John 3:16-18 The Message
We believe that bible knowledge as it regards the finished works of Jesus Christ is vital to the growth and victory of the saints and is highly instrumental in discovering one’s purpose and true identity in Christ.
Without the Blood of Jesus there could be no reconciliation and no in dwelling of the Spirit of God. No amount of personal effort, self-discipline or law keeping could make us righteous before Holy God.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Romans: 6:23 KJV
The bible tells us that everyone owes a sin debt because of Adam’s fall,
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned Romans 5:12 KJV
It’s clear that someone had to pay our sin debt or we could never be made righteous and could never become heirs to the promises of God. So God with His mercy and grace allowed His Son to pay as a substitute on our behalf. It is faith in this truth that makes us sons and daughters of God in Christ.
21 For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God’s goodness into us! 2 Corinthians 5:21 Living Bible (TLB)
And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you,. Galatians 3:29 New Living Translation
So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the Law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe, Rom 4:16 New Living Translation
We are saved by the work God did through Jesus and we now have a blood bought right to receive from God and the first thing we must receive is a renewed mind. The revelation of who Jesus is should build faith and produce confidence in believers that every promise is fulfilled in Christ. And as believers we are now positioned in Christ to place a faith demand on everything God has made available to His children.
The confidence to come to God should always be based on the truth of Jesus as your substitute. Never allow missing the mark or sin behavior to prevent you from coming to God, your behavior never qualified you before God and it won’t disqualify you either. Sin is never a wise choice but we are all being transformed into the image of Christ and we’ve not yet reached perfection. But the good news is that Christ has on your behalf. So come boldly to the throne of grace and worship God remembering what Jesus did whenever you celebrate with communion. Be Blessed!
